About Me

Lesa Ledford, Adult Services

My husband and I have two beautiful children, Angela and Matthew. We enjoy spending time together, camping, fishing, taking long drives, and attending our home church in Clay City.

I have always wanted to work in a library and I have been in the library setting since 2013. My first job in the library was actually in the school library during my high school years. After college I worked for a bank for 12 years and then took off after having Matthew. I then applied for a job at the Powell County Public Library, where I learned more about the library. I drove the bookmobile and had several outreach programs with the day cares, schools, and senior citizens. It was then that I discovered my love of providing programs for the adults. Then I was notified of a job opening here at Estill County and applied for the position as Adult Services and so here I am 2 years later. There is so much to learn when taking a new job, but I've enjoyed every minute of it.

I love to read and my favorite book of all times is "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. I am open to trying new writers and often get suggestions by talking to the patrons here at the library.

There is something here at the library for everyone. We have a variety of programs and events for the children, teens, and adults.
